Don’t get fooled by cheaper training courses, or even by self-teaching : chances are high that you would get what you paid for, lose your time, and not acquire the proper know-how and methodology. Going cheap is the way to frustration, low productivity, and poor quality designs.

If you plan to attack real design using HDLs (VHDL, SystemVerilog, SystemC),

• Hardware Description Languages and High-Level Design Methodologies are not an option: they are a MUST !

• Hardware Description Languages are NOT intuitive !
  Even if actual code may seem simple to read, most important issues remain hidden until properly taught (and exercised).
   
• There are not so many good Books on the subject. And none does cover adequately all the important issues.
  Some are teaching “dead” parts of the language, the majority miss the test and simulation issues, and most are not up-to-date with the recent progress in the synthesis domain.
   
• Synthesis (and Simulation) Tools are getting more and more sophisticated.
  Every few months, new features appear that can significantly increase your productivity, or the Quality of Result. You need to get the most up-to-date information, free from marketing hype, and with practical and real-world examples. Our courses change are updated several times a year !
   
• Our Training Courses are Vendor Independent. The neutrality of the Doulos courses are part of their success. The methodology taught is portable and applicable to different tools and design flows, maximizing its usefulness.
   
• Proper teaching of HDLs requires trained Experts, who are also actual Designers. We spend roughly 70% of our time designing, and 30% teaching !
   
• Practical and rich Exercises with detailed, portable, and explained solutions are mandatory.
   

In the past, VHDL (and many synthesis tools) often had a bad press which was essentially due to the user’s lack of accurate knowledge & proper training.

• Technology Guides (Altera, Xilinx, Actel...) offer the same help for FPGA Place and Route tools.
   
• During all the Training session, progressive, practical and carefully designed Exercises (accounting for at least 50% of the overall training time) are proposed under the close and friendly supervision of the Tutor(s) who spot & explain the errors made, and eventually make sure that all the important concepts have been acquired.
  You can select specific Tools, or take advantage of our versatile setups to get familiar with different popular Tools.
   
• The Administration by Amblot efficiently handles all the practical issues, starting before the registration.
   
• Course location is selected for ease of access, quietness, and agreeable environment (Montparnasse when held in Paris). You won’t be stuck in an unfriendly industrial zone !
   
• Training Courses are indeed also possible On Your Site !
